| Seasonal merchandising opportunities are the lifeblood of the grocery industry. They engage consumers, keep assortment fresh and relevant, invigorate the shopping experience, and provide for incremental purchases. As your IGA Red Oval partner in the beer category, it's my job to make sure you know about all the great Anheuser-Busch merchandising opportunities available to you this July. Folds of Honor
This summer Anheuser-Busch is remembering those who serve our country by helping to raise as much as $2.5 million for the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides post-secondary educational scholarships for families of U.S. military personnel killed or disabled while serving their country. Our iconic Budweiser bottle has seen a major makeover with special red, white and blue packaging that calls out the program and contribution that will be made from the sale of specially marked bottles, which are available through mid-July. Be sure to take advantage of this patriotic program this 4th of July holiday by creating displays that engage shoppers.
2012 Olympics & Fun in the Sun
Summer display opportunities continue as the 2012 Olympics draw near: Budweiser is the official sponsor of Team USA during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, so be sure to promote the 16-ounce aluminum bottle with the Team USA logo when the world is taken over by Olympic fever this coming month. Also, don't forget about the Olympic-themed co-merchandising event that involves not just Anheuser-Busch, but Red Oval family members Coca-Cola and Kraft Foods as well. We're working together on the "Fun in the Sun" display program, involving Olympic-logoed display enhancers and iconic brands from all three companies.

With the 4th of July just around the corner, there's no better time to pull out all the stops and make your IGA the ultimate destination for stocking up on summertime essentials. As always, please feel free to email me if you have any questions. Cheers and good selling!
Thanks,
Chris Parker
