Introducing Apples–the First Course in a Multi-Course Produce Library

 July 26, 2012

Apples vary not only in appearance, but also in taste, texture and how they are best used. A large apple selection increases store sales, but it also might overwhelm consumers—which means that instead of trying new varieties, shoppers continue to buy the "tried and true" apples they have always bought.

A knowledgeable, well-trained produce clerk can help with purchasing decisions, and that's why IGA Coca-Cola Institute is proud to announce the launch of our latest course, Apples!

The Institute's new Apples course helps associates identify different apple varieties and provides information on how to handle and store apples properly, as well as how to answer consumer questions about different types of apples.

Located within a new level of the Supermarket Library, this course is the first in a planned multi-course library on specific produce products. Apples is a 30-minute course designed for produce clerks and other associates who wish to expand their product knowledge.

For more information about the Apples course, or if you have any questions about the Institute, contact us at igainstitute@igainc.com or 1-800-321-5442.

Thank you,
