It's no secret that IGA has some of the most successful independents
in the industry. For more than 80 years now, IGA has been the brand of
choice for shoppers who want a store that has the entire package:
personalized customer service from people they know
and trust, departments and offerings that cater to their specific
needs, and true commitment to the community. It's that promise to
shoppers that makes IGA stand out among other independents and chains
alike, and that has made families loyal IGA shoppers for
generations.
In the words of Progressive Grocer Independent Editor-In-Chief
Joe Tarnowski, "Successful independents don't merely look to solely
best the competition. They look to create consumer experiences that
truly define them as standouts."
Today it my great pleasure to share with you that Progressive Grocer Independent—the
go-to resource for learning about the independent sector—is honoring a
number of IGA retailers as winners in its annual Outstanding
Independents edition, which will
be released in early February.
Four of the seven categories for awards had IGA winners, including:

your fellow IGA family members.
