IGA LDC GRANTED STATE HONORSBozzuto’s Honored as a “Connecticut Treasure” CHICAGO, IL - IGA today announced today that Bozzuto’s Inc., the Cheshire, Conn., based licensed distributor of food and household products to IGA Retailers in New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has been recognized as a “Connecticut Treasure” by Lieutenant Governor Jodi Rell for providing disaster relief in wake of Hurricane Isabel last month. “I believe it is time that we formally recognize the volunteer effort of individuals and groups who make Connecticut so special,” said Lt. Governor Rell, who serves as Chairman of the state’s Disaster Relief/Red Cross Cabinet. “On behalf of Bozzuto’s employees and the IGA Retailers we represent, we are grateful for the opportunity to help,” said Bozzuto’s Chairman, President and CEO Michael A. Bozzuto. “I’d also like to thank Gary Boehnert, the Bozzuto’s driver who volunteered to drive the supplies down to North Carolina.” IGA, the only global supermarketer based in the United States, is
