IGA NAMES 2003 SUPERMARKET MANAGERS OF THE YEAR

Three Supermarket Managers Receive Prestigious Global Award

CHICAGO, IL – IGA's 2003 Supermarket Managers of the Year were chosen for the annual award from the thousands of IGA Supermarket Managers worldwide. A committee of Food Industry experts based their decisions on the managers' performance in areas including: participation in IGA promotions; IGA Brand Support; merchandising, leadership and innovation; Hometown Proud commitment; and employee development. All three managers were honored Tuesday, March 11, during the 2003 IGA Global Summit in Palm Springs , Calif.

The managers chosen for this prestigious award are: Rick Long of Village Market IGA in Harrogate , Tenn. ; Darcy Scharver of Kishman's IGA Super Center in Minerva , Ohio ; and Elina Sutanto, Matahari Karawaci, in Tangerang , Indonesia .
