IGA APPOINTS NEW EDITOR FOR
IGA GROCERGRAM QUARTERLY
CHICAGO, IL - IGA today announced IGA communications consultant
Ashley Page has been appointed as editor of IGA’s industry trade
publication, IGA Grocergram Quarterly. Page, a Chicago-based communications
consultant who has worked with IGA for nearly five years and has been
a frequent contributing writer for the magazine, will assume the position
immediately. The magazine, which was first launched in 1926 as IGA Grocergram,
is published four times a year by Greensboro, N.C.-based Pace Communications
and has an industry circulation of 11,000.
“Ashley has been deeply ingrained in the communications efforts
of IGA for many years, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to
expand her role through IGA Grocergram Quarterly,” IGA Senior
Vice President Doug Fritsch said. “With her extensive experience
in the field of communications we’re certain that she will continue
to improve the quality of our magazine to meet the needs of our valued
members.”
Page is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in journalism
and has been working toward a master’s degree from Northwestern
University in Evanston, Ill. She began her career in publishing with
The Dartnell Corporation, a Chicago-based publisher of work-related
newsletters, books and training tools. As a communications professional
she has been a regular contributor to magazines and newsletters throughout
a variety of industries, and has acted as an executive consultant in
corporate communications for a number of companies. In her role as a
consultant for IGA she has worked with the IGA executive team to enhance
corporate communication across the Alliance. She also serves as the
editor of IGA’s daily e-newsletter, The Independent View.
