Four Marketing Events Annually

IGA Retailers come together four times each year to support unique, IGA themed promotional events that reinforce key attributes of the IGA Brand and the IGA Brand Customer Experience. During each of these events, your shoppers will enjoy special savings on national brand Red Oval sponsor products featured to support the theme, and have the ability to register to win exciting and valuable national sweepstakes prizes.

The events are designed to be flexible so you decide what’s right for your store—whether it’s elaborate community festivals or simple yet effective in-store “card table up front” moments, you can be assured that the enthusiastic engagement of your team will reap tremendous results.

IGA Marketing Events set you apart from the competition and help you deliver the true IGA Brand Customer Experience—all you need to do is utilize the resources available to you to make your program a success.

Getting Started is Easy!

  • The IGA marketing department develops a planner featuring a wide range of helpful tips and activities for each event in the marketing lineup. Review your event planner with your team as soon as it arrives and discuss how you can creatively tailor the event to fit your community.

  • Visit the IGA Alliance Web site frequently to learn specifics about the events, including Red Oval sponsor products and sweepstakes details. You can also view marketing event best practices shared by your fellow retailers.

  • Make sure your community knows about the event by utilizing the ad materials and customizable press releases available on the Alliance Web site.

  • Post IGA-branded point-of-purchase materials throughout your store to engage your shoppers.

  • New for 2010, each event will be supplemented by a consumer Web page on www.iga.com that will feature informational resources about the event’s theme, family-focused activities and other exciting consumer offers. Be sure your team members are aware of the resources on the site, and are directing your customers to it.

  • Coordinate with your ad planning team to ensure Red Oval sponsor products are featured, and work with your store team to build creative displays of sponsor products.
