A message to IGA retailers from...

For the past three years, the IGA USA Alliance has worked together in support of the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), making it one of the most successful marketing initiatives that IGA has ever seen. And yet, as with any event, there's always room to grow, and what is a more deserving a cause than raising money and awareness for our nation's injured service members?

That's why this year IGA in collaboration with WWP is introducing ready-to-use social media content to help you get the word out about your involvement in this great cause marketing event!

Still on the fence about social media's effectiveness? Consider these stats about Facebook:

• There are 128 million users in the US
• The average female Facebook user has 250 friends
• The average Baby Boomer has 72 friends

Looking at those numbers, it's hard to conceive just how many shoppers even a single post can reach. For example, if an IGA store has 100 followers on Facebook, even one post could conservatively be seen by 7,200 Facebook users. More likely, it would be around 25,000. And imagine if just one of those people "like" your post and share it with their 250 friends. The impact grows exponentially as more interactions take place and at that point, the sky's the limit!

In the past three years you've already raised $675,000 for WWP, imagine how much more we can raise in 2014 with social media on our side!

And the best part is the content has been prepared and approved by WWP, meaning it couldn't be any easier. All you have to do is click and post. It's simple, it's impactful and it's one more way to show your shoppers that you're ready and willing to connect in the ways that matter to them.

Show your shoppers that you are their relevant and progressive Hometown Proud IGA by promoting the IGA WWP event now!
