Purina Pet Photo Contest (June 28 - July 31)

When you consider that just last year, Americans spent over $31.5 billion in pet food and litter alone, the opportunity for independent retailers to attract and retain pet owners is too good to miss.

The IGA and Purina Picture PAW-fect Pet Photo Contest is your way to shine a light on the connections your shoppers have with their pets!

Photo Contest Details

When: June 28 - July 31, 2020

Where: IGA.com/sweepstakes

What: Shoppers can enter by submitted a photo of their pet into one of five categories:

  • Your new addition
  • Rad roommates
  • Making the most of it
  • Funniest moments
  • Social distancing adventures

Prize: Six winners--one in each category plus a 'Fan Favorite' will receive Purina pet food for a year in the form of 12 $20 Purina coupons!

IGA will automatically publish the Photo Contest on IGA.com on June 28, 2020. The contest will also be featured in the National Digital Ad which will be promoted through a geotargeted media buy in your community.

Family Meals Month (September)

Each September, our country celebrates National Family Meals Month™ -- a nationwide event designed to support families in enjoying more meals together using items purchased at the grocery store and, as a result, reap the many health and social benefits of doing so.

The aim is simple: help shoppers pledge to have one more meal together, at home, per week. What is less simple, we know, is the practical aspect of making this happen. That’s where we come in! As grocers, we have the ability to help make just one more meal the home possible for the families we serve. And here’s how IGA can help you participate in this year’s efforts:

How IGA is Celebrating September Family Meals Month

During the month of September, IGA will:

  • Post shopper-facing blogs and meal planning suggestions on www.iga.com about the easy meals—ensuring that even on the busiest of days shoppers can still enjoy a family meal.
  • Publish social media posts and infographics about the benefits of frequent family meals on our shopper-facing Facebook page (hint: these are available for you to share too!).
  • Share Family Meals Month related content via the National Digital Ad—so shoppers can save even more when they eat-in.
