Just in time for everyone's favorite tailgating season, IGA is partnering with Coca-Cola to host a national brand awareness campaign, the IGA & Coca-Cola Tailgating Grill Giveaway! Starting Monday, September 13, shoppers can enter the sweepstakes to win a new grill valued at $300 by incorporating the hashtag #IGAGrillGiveaway in a post on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
More Than Just a Sweepstakes
In addition to celebrating the kick-off of football season, the online sweepstakes—which begins next week and runs until October 15—is designed to raise awareness of IGA's social media channels, where we publish information on the National Digital Ad, meal solutions, inspiring recipes, seasonal shopping tips, and Red Oval promotions—all of which tie into the in-store, quarterly marketing sign kit to create a full omni-channel experience for your shoppers.
This sweepstakes, like others IGA has developed, is an omni-channel marketing campaign created for retailers to boost sales. We've already planned the strategy, worked with our partners at Coca-Cola, and created the content. Now all you need to do is:
- Attract shoppers by sharing the content through digital and print advertising and in the National Digital Ad
- Grow sales by fostering the relationship with shoppers through loyalty programs, in-store promotions, and social media
To help further the message, we have once again enlisted the help of IGA influencer, Leela Atchison of Lex Eat. She lives in an IGA community, often shops in an IGA store, and has a well-established blog with a huge following that reaches far beyond her immediate community.
Leela has agreed to create an original tailgate-inspired recipe incorporating IGA Exclusive Brand products and Coca-Cola, and also write about why she loves shopping at an IGA store—all while promoting the IGA and Coca-Cola Tailgating Sweepstakes. Lex Eat will also publish her blog on her own social media channels. And if the results are anything like our Family Meals Made Easy! Sweepstakes, we can expect big results!
Spread the Word
The sweepstakes kicks off Monday, September 13 with promotion on IGA.com and posts on the IGA USA Facebook page and featured in the National Digital Ad, which is geo-targeted to IGA communities. While that alone will certainly pull in the impressions, next week IGA will also make available social media and web graphics, so you can share sweepstakes details and influencer content directly with your shoppers.
