IGA Coca-Cola Institute Adds 6 New Crisis Prevention Courses

With the recent increase in cases of the Coronavirus, we want to reinforce the importance of preparing for a health crisis through protective measures and sanitation. Please refer to the IGA Coca-Cola Institute crisis resource courses below to ensure you and your staff are properly trained.

If you do not have a subscription to the IGA Coca-Cola Institute, these relevant courses are now free for all grocery retailers. Support your staff and shoppers with these safety training and crisis preparedness courses.

Hand Washing

Proper hand washing for at least 20 seconds is crucial to preventing the spread of infectious diseases and viruses. In this course, learn when and how to wash your hands effectively to stay healthy and prevent the spread of germs.

It encourages everyone to take responsibility for their own hygiene and to help prevent and control the spread of infection in the workplace.

This 25-minute course provides an understanding of what Coronavirus is and how to limit the risk of infection in your workplace. It is appropriate for all staff to attend.

COVID-19 Health Care/Aged Care

Make a plan and reduce the risk with this course from Aged Care Learning Solutions (ACLS), who has a 15-year history of delivering real time learning when you need it. A timely response and plan is an expectation under Standards 3 and 8 of the Aged Care Quality Standards. This learning resource is in video format and will take about 8 minutes to complete. It includes:

This 10-minute video can help with any seasonal flu, outbreak, or pandemic fears. It explains what a pandemic is, a brief history of pandemics, and five specific things you can do to help yourself and others. With the Coronavirus outbreak, this video can provide some comfort and advice to employees and individuals to help calm and take action.
