Institute Class Feature: Equity

More than half of all American workers believe that focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is positive in the workplace. By taking the Retail Learning Institute’s course on Equity, associates will learn more about what equity is in addition to what it looks like in practice. With strategies and scenarios designed to illustrate how associates can act equitably, this course helps to identify the issue and provide methods for creating a more equitable work environment.

With definitions and examples of equitable treatment, this course addresses misconceptions about equity and how it is applied in the workplace. By illustrating how implicit biases and prejudices can lead to differential treatment, this course outlines why equitable practices are necessary. Additionally, the course discusses how equitable treatment is beneficial in reducing stereotypes, enhancing team dynamics, and improving decision-making.
