Registration Open for 2026 National Rural Grocery Summit

Mar 4, 2026

The National Rural Grocery Summit returns May 5-7, 2026, in Fargo, North Dakota, bringing together leaders, independent grocers, suppliers, and community advocates focused on strengthening rural food access across the country. Early bird registration for grocers is free until March 15.

Hosted by the Rural Grocery Initiative at Kansas State University, the biennial summit is the premier national event dedicated to supporting rural grocery stores and the communities they serve. Attendees will gain insights from industry experts, participate in breakout sessions, and connect with peers working to sustain and grow rural food retail.

The event will feature keynote speakers, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and optional tours highlighting innovative rural grocery models in the region. Participants will explore strategies that help independent grocers adapt, collaborate, and continue serving as vital hubs in rural communities.

Whether you’re a grocery retailer, supplier, policymaker, or community partner, the summit offers a valuable opportunity to share ideas, learn from others, and help shape the future of rural grocery.
