IGA Louisiana Double Baked Buffalo Wings

Jul 15, 2021

Ingredients

IGA Louisiana Hot Sauce
Chicken Wings
1 stick of butter
2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees, Separate wings or buy pre-separated. Fresh (not frozen) wings work best. Chef tip: I always boil my wings for 15 - 20 min first and let cool a bit. This separates the fat and makes the wings crispier.
  2. Place fresh (defrosted or boiled) wings on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 60 minutes, turning halfway through.
  3. While the wings are baking, pour 1/2 - 1 cup of hot sauce into a microwave-safe bowl. Add about 1/3 of butter to the hot sauce in bowl and microwave for about 2 minutes. Stir well. Crush the 2 cloves of garlic and add to hot sauce mixture. Put the sauce aside.
  4. When chicken wings are close to being done and appear crispy, take them out of the oven. Using tongs, dip each wing into the hot sauce mixture to lightly coat and place back onto cooking
    sheet.
  5. Place wings back into the oven and cook for another 15 minutes or more depending upon the size of
    wings and desired crispness.
  6. Serve with celery and blue cheese and enjoy!
