Help Isom IGA recover from devasting floods
IGA proudly announced its 2026 Retailers of the Year during The NGA Show 2026, and the moment couldn’t have been more fitting. The honorees were revealed publicly for the first time at the Welcome Reception on Sunday, February 1, an evening that kicked off IGA’s Centennial celebration with a lively 1920s-themed party, honoring the alliance's founding year of 1926.
Surrounded by independent grocers, wholesalers, and partners from across the industry, the announcement set the tone for a milestone year for IGA, celebrating 100 years of local ownership, community commitment, and retail excellence.
The IGA Retailer of the Year award recognizes outstanding independent grocers who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to serving their communities. The 2026 class represents a diverse group of retailers from across the U.S., each embodying the values that have defined IGA for a century.

As IGA begins its second century, this year’s Retailers of the Year exemplify the independent spirit that has powered the brand for 100 years: local ownership, strong wholesaler partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to their customers and communities.
Congratulations to the 2026 IGA Retailers of the Year on this well-deserved recognition and for helping shape the future of independent grocery retail. We will continue celebrating these exceptional retailers throughout 2026 with in-depth interviews and store visits, culminating in the 2026 IGA Centennial Awards of Excellence Gala in September.
