Three BIG Reasons You Don’t Want to Miss the Rally

Jan 24, 2019

The annual IGA Global Rally brings together existing and prospective IGA Alliance members from around the world each spring to provide updates on Alliance programs, share insights and experiences that guide our future goals, and celebrate members' accomplishments through our annual recognition programs.

In 2019 IGA and NGA are again joining forces to bring you the year's two best events for independents in one great location, and this time all the action is happening in sunny San Diego.

If you haven’t registered to attend, what are you waiting for?

“San Diego is one of the coolest towns in all of the U.S., and who doesn’t want to be on the beach in February when the majority of the rest of the country is freezing?” IGA CEO John Ross says. “But that’s only part of the story. The real draw is coming together to explore actionable solutions to the issues we’re facing. You’re going to hear from your IGA team, from industry experts, but most importantly, from your peers. Our goal is to make sure everyone attending the Rally leaves with at least one proven idea that can be implemented immediately to increase sales.”

Why attend the IGA Global Rally?

Reason 1: Networking and Celebrating in Sunny San Diego!

From breakfasts to dinners and business sessions to breaks, the IGA Global Rally functions offer the year’s best chance to catch up with your IGA peers from across the U.S. and around the globe.

But the real fun this year comes in celebrating our successes. “We have so many dedicated, creative, and talented IGA members, we felt like it was time to start recognizing and learning from those accomplishments,” Ross says.

With that in mind, IGA will recognize members in all sorts of new ways during the course of the Rally. In addition to our retailer, wholesaler, and Red Oval partners of the year being celebrated at the Awards of Excellence Ceremony at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, IGA will also recognize members with innovation, best practices, and “above and beyond” awards.

Reason 2: Retailing Solutions

Last year’s Global Rally teed up a host of new programs that launched in 2018. This year’s event is your opportunity to not only hear how those programs are working, but to see the next wave of programs and resources on the horizon.

Check out these Rally content highlights:

Reason 3: Stay On for The NGA Show!

The NGA Show has been the place where independent grocers have gathered for over 35 years, connecting supermarket retailers and wholesalers, food manufacturers, and service providers from around the world to share innovative solutions and best practices that support and strengthen the independent supermarket channel.

IGA is once again co-joining with The NGA Show, with complimentary registration for all IGA retailers. Stay on after the IGA Global Rally for:

  • Over 60 specialized education workshops led by retailers for retailers.
  • More than 400 companies on the EXPO floor showcasing innovative and game-changing products and solutions.
