Cards for a Cause

Aug 12, 2018

In today’s retail environment, consumers expect the companies they do business with to be socially-responsible leaders who actively seek to make the world a better place for all, and that’s a role that Legacy Publishing, your Red Oval partner for greeting card sales, is very comfortable with.

Legacy has always believed that making a profit is only part of owning a business.  Through Legacy’s Buy a Card | Feed a Child™ program we donate a portion of the proceeds from every card we sell (with the exception of our 99¢-retail Value Cards) to non-profit groups fighting to end hunger in the U.S. and around the world.  Last year alone, we were able to donate the equivalent of over 195,000 meals to highly respected organizations like Feeding America and Food for the Poor, and more than 1.7 million meals to children and families in need since we began this program in 2013.

This focus on helping children and families is one of the reasons Legacy is such a great fit with IGA and its community-focused retailers. From local efforts to support people and communities in need to national initiatives in support of worthy causes like Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, IGA members giving back and making a difference is a huge part of what makes IGA so special.

With this commitment in mind, Legacy is once again offering a POP display of boxed Christmas cards—and this year, calendars too—at a significantly reduced price to IGA stores just in time for the holidays.  For each box of cards or 2019 calendar sold to IGA members, Legacy will donate 5 percent of the sale to IGA Cares to support its alliance with Partnership for Drug-Free Kids.

Let’s work together to do our part to end our country’s opioid crisis. Together we can make a difference in the lives of kids in our communities this winter!
